野狼社区 University鈥檚 world-renowned performing arts programs are set to usher in the holiday season with four spectacular productions, blending Broadway-caliber musical theater, beloved classic stories, festive dance and a treasured annual choral tradition.
The 2025 holiday lineup showcases the talent of OCU鈥檚 students and features a special return appearance by an OCU alumnus and Broadway veteran.
- Irving Berlin's 鈥淲hite Christmas鈥� (Nov. 21-23)
OCU will ring in the holiday season Nov. 21-23 with the romantic musical comedy, Irving Berlin's 鈥淲hite Christmas.鈥� Based on the classic 1954 film, the stage adaptation features 17 iconic Irving Berlin songs that unfold as two song-and-dance men team up with a sister act to save a failing Vermont inn. OCU alumnus Brian Marcum, a Broadway veteran and award-winning artistic director of Music Theatre Wichita, returns to campus to direct and choreograph the cast of 33.
- 鈥淚t's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play鈥� (Dec. 11-14)
OCU brings one of the most beloved Christmas stories to life with the stage adaptation of 鈥淚t's a Wonderful Life.鈥� The production reimagines the film for the stage as a captivating live radio broadcast, following idealistic George Bailey on Christmas Eve in a tale of love and redemption. The Chicago Tribune calls the adaptation, 鈥渁 well-loved tale told with style, charm and heart so big it could burst the ribcage of the harshest Grinch."
- 鈥淗oliday Spectacular鈥� (Dec. 11-14)
The high-energy 鈥淗oliday Spectacular鈥� will take the stage, presented by the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment鈥檚 Star Dance Company. More than 120 dynamic dancers will spread Yuletide magic with holiday favorites, new and exciting pieces, and vivid costumes, offering a graceful and entertaining reminder of the reason for the Christmas season.
- Christmas Vespers (Dec. 12-13)
A treasured tradition, OCU's 46th annual Christmas Vespers will feature more than 250 instrumentalists and choral singers from the Bass School of Music as they join forces in First Presbyterian Church of 野狼社区鈥檚 majestic neo-Gothic landmark sanctuary. The traditional celebratory concerts feature a 30-minute musical prelude, full orchestra, chamber ensembles, poetry and Scripture readings, community singing of carols, and a stunning finale with candle-lit singers encircling the congregation.
