Matriculation at 野狼社区 University
Matriculation is one of 野狼社区 University's most distinguished academic traditions, marking the official opening of the academic year and formally welcoming the newest members of the OCU community. This time-honored ceremony symbolizes the beginning of each student's academic journey and reflects the university's enduring commitment to scholarship, service, leadership, and academic excellence.
During Matriculation, faculty and leadership process in full academic regalia, representing more than a century of higher education tradition at 野狼社区 University and reaffirming their commitment to instruction, mentorship, and the pursuit of knowledge. Staff and families gather to welcome the incoming OCU class, emphasizing the shared responsibility of supporting students as they begin their educational experience at OCU.
Matriculation is more than a ceremonial procession. It is a celebration of new beginnings and a meaningful expression of the partnership between students, faculty, families, and the university community. As students embark on this exciting new chapter, they are welcomed into a vibrant community dedicated to learning, personal growth, and lifelong success.

Parking: Guests are welcome to park in any designated visitor parking area on campus. The closest parking is available in the lots surrounding the Administration Building and the Lacy Visitor Center.
Following Matriculation, all guests are invited to attend Convocation in Kirkpatrick Auditorium. Convocation continues the university's official welcome to the academic year and provides an opportunity for students, families, faculty, and staff to gather as one community in celebration of the beginning of a new academic year.
