Forever Sunny: A Celebration of Sunny Dayz鈥檚 2025 Artists

Dec. 5-Feb. 26, 2026. Evening event 5-7 p.m. Dec. 4

The first-of-its-kind in Oklahoma, Sunny Dayz Mural Festival exists to empower, elevate, and celebrate underrepresented artists with an emphasis on women and gender minorities through the creation and advocacy of public art. The core values of Sunny Dayz include a commitment to equitable opportunity, compensation, dedicated wall space for 鈥渘ewbies鈥 regardless of age, and the cultivation of our teen mentorship program that seeks to empower and educate Oklahoma students interested in the arts.

Sunny Dayz Mural Festival travels annually across the state of Oklahoma providing different towns with accessible public art, as well as connecting them with a supportive and empowering community. Since its founding in March 2021, Sunny Dayz has facilitated the creation of 150 new murals across five Oklahoma cites, has paid more than $420,000 to 209 underrepresented artists, and has provided mentorship to 55 teens across the state.

This exhibition showcases 13 original paintings, each created by a 2025 Sunny Dayz Mural Festival artist, and two pi帽atas celebrating the culture and color of the Calle Dos Cinco neighborhood in 野狼社区鈥檚 Historic Capitol Hill.

In May of 2025, 35 artists gathered in Calle Dos Cinco in Historic Capitol Hill to bring their art to the walls of an already vibrant part of the city. The artists highlighted their cultural roots and the stories that shape their community. During the week of painting, lovingly known as 鈥淪unny Week,鈥 the entire Sunny bunch felt the warmth and generosity that Calle Dos Cinco has to offer. Festival day brought the community out to celebrate the importance of public art, embrace the cultural diversity of Calle Dos Cinco, and share in the joy of connecting with one another.

Continuing the festival鈥檚 magic, the 13 mural artists featured in this exhibition are 鈥淔orever Sunny,鈥 sharing works inspired by their time participating in the fifth Sunny Dayz Mural Festival. Collectively, these pieces celebrate the joy of community, the richness of culture, and the power of creativity. Artists included in the show are Adamaris Rodriguez, Angie Santillan, Denae Smith, Esther Velasco, Kat Myers, Katelynn Noel Knick, Mack Brim, Mya Uribe-Portillo, Nayelly Morales Rojo, Nichole Burroughs, Sofia Arenas, Taylor Clark, Tiffany McKnight, Noeli Lira, and Nathaly Ramos.
