An annual film festival is expanding its calendar to offer Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø’s experimental filmmakers additional forums to meet, discuss their current work, and share advice on next steps.
Ò°ÀÇÉçÇø University’s Wide Open Experimental Film Festival () is launching WOEFForum, a bimonthly series of experimental film work-in-progress feedback sessions.
WOEFForums will take place bimonthly at 7 p.m. every other second Tuesday through the spring — Sept. 8, Nov. 10, Jan. 12, March 9 and May 11 — at , 701 W. Sheridan in Film Row.
Billy Palumbo, festival director and OCU professor of film, will facilitate the workshop discussions. The events are free to the public, both as makers and as audience members/critique participants.
Since its founding in 2022, WOEFF has remained a noncompetitive festival that showcases experimental films of alternative forms, structures and styles.
